Women's Leadership Institute

The NH Women's Leadership Institute (NHWLI) was established in 2024 as a joint effort between Primex, the Municipal Management Associations of NH (MMANH), and the NH Municipal Association (NHMA). Our mission is to empower and elevate women leaders in New Hampshire’s public sector by delivering essential leadership training and building the confidence, skills, and networks they need to lead and serve their communities with excellence.

Our first full program launched in 2025 and drew nearly 200 applicants from cities, towns, schools, counties, and village districts for just 24 available spots, highlighting the strong demand for this type of leadership development. In response to that demand, this year's event will take place at Church Landing at Mill Falls in Meredith and will be open to 100-150 current and aspiring women leaders in local government. The full day event will feature a keynote speaker and multiple session tracks, and will be preceded by an opening networking reception and speaker the evening before.

Eligible applicants must be current female employees in New Hampshire’s local government sector who seek to develop leadership skills and/or grow into leadership roles. The application process for the 2026 cohort will open in early 2026. Check back for more information!
