PUBLIC WORKS WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR II
TOWN OF NEWPORT, NH
About the Position: The Town is seeking an experienced Grade 3 Wastewater Treatment Operator to join the Public Works Team with primary responsibility of day-to-day operations of the Town’s Wastewater Treatment Facility and participate in Water/Sewer operations. This position will play a key role in the operation of a newly constructed Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) treatment facility and participate in current and historical wastewater infrastructure, including lift stations and the industrial pretreatment program.
Works under the direction of the Wastewater Treatment Superintendent and in coordination with the Public Works Director.
Pay range is $28 -$31 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. NH Wastewater Operator Grade III required, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire. Performs other duties as assigned.
