Full-Time Utilities Tech II
The Town of Newport, NH seeks a qualified individual for the position of Full-time Utilities Tech II. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
The primary duties are to perform technical work involving the operation, maintenance and repair of a slow sand filtration facility and the water and sewer distribution system. Responsible for the health and safety of the water and sewer systems.
The successful candidate will possess, or ability to readily obtain, a valid CDL Class B driver’s license issued by the State of New Hampshire for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Possession of a Grade I Water Treatment and Grade II Distribution Certification or ability to acquire within 12 months. Possession of a Grade I Collections Certification or ability to acquire within 12 months. Starting rate of pay $26.40 per hour plus benefits.
