Inspection Captain

The City of Franklin has an immediate opening for a Fire Prevention Inspection Captain. The Fire Prevention Inspection Captain reports directly to the Fire Chief. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively with City staff and the public. This position demands teamwork.

This position is a 40 hour per week, business hours, position. This position is expected to evaluate community risks and develop strategies that will enhance the safety of our community. This position entails the following:           

•   Enforcement of Property Maintenance Code

•   Systems review coupled with process development

•   Building/Construction Inspection

•   City Health Officer

•   Fire Inspections

•   Fire Investigations

•   Fire Prevention and Education

•   Assist when needed in fire department operations
 

Minimum Desired Qualifications

•   High School Diploma

•   Three years of supervisory experience

•   Valid NH driver’s license

•   Fire Investigator experience

•   First Responder Inspector (Previously Fire Inspector I)

•   Fire Inspector (Previously Fire Inspector II)

•   ICC Building Inspection course work/certification

•   NH Firefighter II

•   Clean Driving Record and Criminal Background Check

 

This position demands a candidate who has the ability to work in the public and represent the City of Franklin with the highest level of professionalism.

Salary Range $66,040 - $71,115 depending on Qualification
