LAND USE ADMINISTRATOR
The Town of Thornton is looking to hire a part-time Land Use Administrator to assist the Planning & Zoning Boards for up to 15 hours per week and monthly evening meetings when necessary.
This position is Labor Grade 9 with an hourly pay range of $24.18 - $34.16 depending on experience.
Job functions include but are not limited to serve as primary staff support to the Planning & Zoning Boards, and advise on the conformance of various plans, projects, and applications before the Boards. Provide assistance and direction to questions concerning planning and/or zoning procedures, interpretation of planning board subdivision and site plan regulations, zoning ordinances and other land use regulations, handles minor public concerns and attempts to create a communication balance between the public and municipality per direction of the contracted Planner.
Preferred minimum qualifications include Associates Degree in Business, Management or related field; and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal planning & zoning; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
