Durgin Building – Standby Generator Installation

The Town of Campton is seeking sealed bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and installation of a new standby generator for the Durgin Building – Town Clerk/Tax Collectors Office, 10 Gearty Way, Campton, NH.

Bid Submittal Deadline: Friday, June 12th, 2026, at 4:30pm

Bid Opening: Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Campton Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday, June 15th, 2026. All interested parties are welcome to attend.

Project Specifications: The generator system must be appropriately sized to provide reliable standby power for the estimated 1,731 sq ft Durgin Building - Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office, supporting all essential electrical loads. Specifications shall include:

  • Generator Capacity: Expectations are the building needs a 10kW generator, but bidder shall perform a load assessment and recommend an appropriately sized standby generator (kW rating) capable of supporting all essential building systems, including HVAC, lighting, IT/network equipment, and security systems. 
  • Fuel Type: Propane gas system is acceptable. Bids may recommend specific fuel type, tank requirements (if applicable), and expected fuel consumption. 
  • Automatic Transfer Switch: 100 – amp service rated. 
  • Electrical Requirements: All necessary electrical connections, wiring, conduit, panel upgrades, grounding, labeling, and code‑compliant installation. 
  • Site Preparation: Any necessary site work, including concrete pad construction and placement that meets generator manufacturer requirements. 
  • Ventilation & Clearance: Compliance with building size‑related clearances, airflow needs, and safety codes. 
  • Maintenance & Service: Recommended maintenance schedule and service plan options. 
  • Timeline: Delivery and installation schedule, including any expected lead times.

Submission Requirements: All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to: Town of Campton, Attn: Town Administrator. Envelopes must be plainly marked: “Durgin Building Generator Bid.” Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. All bids must remain valid for a minimum of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date.

Selection Criteria: The Town of Campton will evaluate bids based on price, timeline, experience, reputation, equipment quality, financial responsibility, future support capability, compliance with specifications, and other relevant factors. The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to negotiate with any bidder, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the Town’s best interest—even if it is not the lowest bid.
