This position is responsible for the supervision and inspection of public works projects for compliance with approved plans and specifications, contract requirements, and any other relevant policies or standards.
These operations can include but are not limited to, roadway and sidewalk construction, crack sealing, pavement marking, earthwork, guardrail installation, driveway installation and drainage repairs.
This is a lead worker position responsible for providing direct and close supervision of a crew of laborers, equipment operators, and semi-skilled workers in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges and other municipal projects as well as winter maintenance operations.
This position is required to be on-call on a rotating basis with other Foremen from 12/1 and through 3/31 each year.
May also be called for emergencies at other times of the year. Must be able to respond to job site within a reasonable time.
