The Town of Loudon is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer to join the Town in a part-time capacity (up to 30 hours per week). The successful candidate will assist with permit processing and issuance, inspections, zoning compliance and enforcement, plan review, and application processing. This position will provide technical support to the Town’s land use boards.

Minimum qualifications include a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, experience as a building inspector and/or code enforcement officer, effective communication, accurate record keeping, strong customer service skills, and the ability to maintain an organized schedule.
Preferred candidates will have a working knowledge of the State’s Building Codes, experience in construction/engineering/electrical/plumbing trades, and ICC Certification, or the ability to earn the certification within one year.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. This is an hourly non-exempt position.
The schedule will include on-site and off-site work as well as evening meetings, as necessary, up to 30 hours per week, during normal Town Office business hours (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and Tuesday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM).
