This position is full time, 37.5 hours a week and follows the City Hall hours:
Monday: 8am-6pm
Tuesday-Thursday: 8am-4:30pm
Friday: 8am-1pm
Position is non-union and the starting salary range is $67,805.07 - $82,417.48 a year.

NATURE OF WORK
The Executive Assistant in the Legal Department is responsible for providing advanced office administration and paralegal support services. Key duties include managing incoming telephone calls and visitors, developing and refining office procedures, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of a digital case management system. The role also entails maintaining both digital and paper filing systems, documenting departmental expenditures, preparing payroll and budget reports, and composing various forms of correspondence. Scheduling meetings and appointments, as well as supporting volunteer committees, fall under the scope of this position. Additionally, the Executive Assistant supervises two Administrative Assistants who assist with processing and responding to Right to Know requests, litigation filings and deadlines, and support several committees by drafting agendas, recording minutes, posting notices and minutes online, and handling other department-related tasks.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, with at least four (4) years of responsible experience in a law office performing paralegal services and legal research, is required. A paralegal certificate from a recognized college or university is preferred.
The candidate must have significant experience with office computers, office automation applications, data processing, digital case management and file storage software, and bookkeeping skills, or possess an equivalent combination of training and experience. Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered acceptable.
