The City of Portsmouth is seeking a Revenue Assistant that will deliver exceptional customer service to the City's residents with professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency.
Starting salary range for this position is $50,949.43- $61,929.35 a year per the Professional Management Association (PMA).
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours a week and will follow the City Hall hours:
Monday: 8am-6pm
Tuesday-Thursday: 8am-4:30pm
Friday: 8am-1pm

NATURE OF WORK
This position serves as front-line customer service representative in the Tax Office, providing residents with professional, timely, and accurate assistance. Responsible for processing motor vehicle transactions, tax transactions, water/sewer transactions, and department deposit bags. Incumbent provides general support to all departmental functions.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Incumbent must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum of 2 years in direct customer service and cash handling experience.
Experience as a New Hampshire Motor Vehicle Agent or the ability to obtain certification within two (2) months from date of hire. Current New Hampshire Notary designation, or ability to become a New Hampshire Notary.
