The Town of Bedford’s Public Works Department is in search of Seasonal On-Call employee(s) with or without a CDL license to assist with winter operations. TYPICAL DUTIES:
Seasonal/On-Call for the months of November through April 1st, 2026. Availability for all winter weather-related events as needed. CDL qualified workers may operate the Town’s winter maintenance equipment as instructed.
- Plowing and removing snow/ice from streets and sidewalks, sanding and salting and repairing damage resulting from snow removal operations
- Availability 24 hours per day to meet emergency weather-related needs
- Operation of equipment such as snowplows, wing, and sanders
- Other related tasks as assigned.
Individuals selected must be able to work long and extended hours in adverse conditions, as needed. Drivers are subject to FMSCA Drug and Alcohol testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Non-CDL holders must have a valid NH Operators License
- OR CDL holders must possess a valid NH Class B CDL with valid medical card
- Excellent driving record
- Have a steady/dependable work history
- Safety conscious record
