Applications are being accepted for the full-time position of Town Engineer in the Community Development Department located at 35 Main Street, Hooksett.
Duties include, but are not limited to, professional engineering work of a technical nature including design, layout, construction management and mapping of municipal projects. Provides technical assistance to other departments, boards and committees as requested.
Position is under the general supervision of the Town Administrator.
The nature of the work performed requires the employee to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, the Council, committees, outside contractors, consultants, and the public. Graduation from an accredited college or university with major study in Civil Engineering a plus and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in public works engineering, street or highway construction and maintenance work, or related field; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. N.H. Professional Engineer license.
A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required. Must pass all pre-employment background checks and tests.
Salary range $58,365 - $113,093. Teamsters Local 633 Mid-Management Position.
Full benefits package. 6-month probation period. This is a salaried exempt position; normal works hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 8:00am to 6:30pm Wednesday, and 8:00am to 12:00pm Friday; additional hours for meetings and other assignments when needed.
