With summer approaching and activities such as little league, youth camps and other town sponsored events starting up, many towns are left wondering what their responsibilities are when it comes to background checks for town employees and volunteers. It can be a little confusing to figure out exactly who needs a background check and how to obtain a background check for an employee or volunteer. This webinar will cover which employees or volunteers are required to have a background check performed versus those where the town may choose to perform one. It will also cover the process of obtaining a background check, what to do if there is something concerning on the report, and some thoughts on juvenile volunteers.

Join Municipal Services Counsel Jonathan Cowal and Legal Services Counsel Stephen Buckley for this webinar on background checks.
