As a Water/Sewer Service Aide II, you'll be at the heart of our mission—helping to maintain and operate critical water and wastewater treatment facilities that serve our community every day.
This role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. You’ll split your time between treatment facilities, performing essential tasks such as maintaining equipment, cleaning tanks, plowing, mowing, and keeping buildings and grounds in top shape. You’ll also collect field samples, conduct basic lab tests, and participate in on-call rotation—ensuring the systems that keep our water safe and clean run smoothly around the clock.

Note: This position is subject to standby duty and recall during non-regular working hours, weekends, and holidays. In addition, if the employee has their CDL, this position is subject to federal commercial driver’s license (CDL) drug and alcohol requirements. Position should be able to respond within 60 minutes (depending on weather conditions) to staff the work site.
Pay and Benefits:
During the 6-month probationary period, the pay rate for this position is $20.06 per hour. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, this position will move to the regular pay schedule which consists of pay steps and hourly rates ranging from $20.91- $24.94 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; or three to twelve months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver’s license is required and a CDL with tank endorsement is desired. The Grade I NH Wastewater Treatment License or Operation in Training (OIT) is required within 12 months of hire and the Grade I NH Water Treatment License or OIT is required within 24 months of hire.
