Description: Responsible for water distribution and sewer collection system operations, including maintenance of water valves, meters and hydrants, hydrant flushing, installation and repair of water and sewer mains, jetting of sewer mains, sewer manhole repair, operation of heavy equipment including vacuum truck, dump truck, front end loader and backhoe. Must be available for emergency response such as water breaks, sewer back-ups, snow plowing, etc. This position reports to the Water & Sewer Utilities Foreman.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have knowledge of highway/water-sewer maintenance and construction. Completion of a high school diploma or GED equivalent and one to three years of related experience. Must possess a New Hampshire Grade I License for Water Distribution and/or NEWEA Collection System License required within one year of hire. Must possess a valid New Hampshire CDL Class B driver’s license with air brake certification and tank endorsement or obtain within 6 months of hire.
