Transfer Station Attendant II

The Town of Alton is seeking applications for the position of Transfer Station Attendant II.

The Transfer Station is located on Hurd Hill Road.  The position is full-time with a work schedule of Friday – Monday, ten hours per day.  The Attendant II reports to the Solid Waste Director.

Responsibilities include operating loader, operating skidsteer to dump hoppers, plow snow and move recyclables around and load trailers with recyclables, operate truck scales, bale cardboard and aluminum cans.  You must be able to assist the public with recyclables and enforce the rules.  Perform other duties as specified.

Starting hourly rate is $14.41.  Benefit package available.
