We are currently hiring a full-time Director at our Solid Waste Facility.
The Town of Alton is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Solid Waste Director at our Solid Waste Facility. This is a hands-on role that involves interacting with the public, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the site.

Duties include (but are not limited to) supervising and evaluating staff, coordinating with vendors for recyclable marketing and shipping, and supporting administrative functions such as budgeting, record keeping, forecasting, and vendor negotiations. The role also involves communicating facility hours, rules, and recycling programs to residents, assisting with hazardous waste collection, preparing required reports and operational documentation, and performing additional duties as assigned.
