Solid Waste and Environmental Programs Manager
General Statement of Duties
Manages, plans, organizes, directs, and implements municipal environmental and waste programs including but not limited to: development of new initiatives, administration and oversight of the City’s solid waste, yard waste and, recycling program, including environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance at closed landfills; responsible for the City’s continued compliance with environmental regulations, coordinating and developing waste related events and initiatives, monitoring of legislation relative to municipal waste and environmental issues; performs directly related work as required and/or as requested by the Director.
Acceptable Experience and Training
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Resource Management, Public Administration or related; and
Required Special Qualifications
• Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License;
