Police Officer

The Town of Tuftonboro Police Department is seeking a motivated, team-oriented person who is interested in serving a tight knit community where community policing is a priority. The successful candidate will perform criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, crime prevention initiatives, and community involvement assignments.

The Town of Tuftonboro is an equal opportunity employer, and offers a competitive compensation package, with salaries from $67,912 to $86,008, exclusive of overtime and detail opportunities. Qualified candidates will be required to successfully complete a physical agility test, oral board interview, polygraph examination, medical examination, psychological examination, and an extensive background investigation. Certain hiring requirements may be waived for certified candidates. Preference will be given to applicants currently certified as police officers by Police Standards and Training Council (PSTC) or whose out-of-state certification is eligible for reciprocity through PSTC.
