The Town of Sunapee Police Department is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Part-Time Police Officer. This position offers the opportunity to serve and protect our community while working alongside a professional and dedicated department.
Responsibilities include:
- Enforcing local, state, and federal laws.
- Responding to calls for service and emergencies.
- Conducting patrols to ensure public safety and prevent crime.
- Preparing accurate reports and maintaining detailed records.
- Engaging with the community to foster positive relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- No felony convictions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
- Certified (or certifiable) by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council.
- Valid New Hampshire driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills, integrity, and commitment to community policing.
- Sufficient physical abilities to perform the essential functions/duties of the position
Schedule & Pay:
- Part-time position, hours may vary based on departmental needs.
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and certifications.
