Description

The Town of Kennebunk is accepting applications for a full-time Information Services Manager. The Information Services Manager is a professional and technical position responsible for the management of the Town’s Information Services resources and networking infrastructure. This is a hands-on position providing technical support to the Town’s computer systems, security systems, networks and phone systems. The Information Services Manager implements IT strategies and best practices to ensure the security of the Town’s IT and networking infrastructures. This position reports to the Finance Director, works with all Town departments in the planning, design and execution of the Town’s management information strategy, and supervises a full-time Information Services Specialist.

The Information Services Manager occasionally works outside of the normal work schedule, including weekend and evening hours, as urgent issues arise.

Position Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required;
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in information systems that includes the management, supervision and administration of computer hardware, software, information systems design and networking field;
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Server, VPN connections, networking concepts, connectivity concepts/issues and practices, remote access, network applications and other technologies and concepts in the computer industry at large;
  4. Experience working directly with users, both individually and in groups, and functioning as part of a team identifying goals, and developing and implementing strategies for their implementation;
  5. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows personal computer and network operating systems, personal computer and network application software;
  6. Proficient in the installation, configuration, and operations of Microsoft Office Suite applications; 
  7. Supervisory experience preferred; or
  8. Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Pay & Benefits

This is an exempt, non-union position with a starting annual salary range of $84,388 - $101,796 in the Town’s non-union, exempt, pay ranges. Starting pay will be determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and work experience.
