Seeking applicants for a full-time Human Resource Coordinator in the Administration Department. This position manages all aspects of human resource functions to include but not limited to developing & implementing human resource policies, supporting strategic objectives, hiring staff & negotiating employment agreements, ensuring compliance with Federal/State/Local laws & regulations, managing staff wellness & leaves of absence, motivating & supporting current staff, maintaining staff records and handling employee benefits. The position assists the Town Administrator with daily issues, projects, research and related matters. May act in the Town Administrator’s (TA) role in the absence of the TA as directed by him/her or Town Council.
Position requires a high level of confidentiality, objectivity, and consistency.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, business management, finance, health & human resources, or a related field.
- Five years experience in similar or related field; municipal preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheet, word-processing and database.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Ability to be self-motivated and be proactive in resolving issues while working independently; able to make decisions in the absence of the Town Administrator.
Full-time salary exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience; $66,355-$92,900. Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 8:00am to 6:30pm Wednesday, and 8:00am to 12:00pm Friday; additional hours for meetings and other assignments when needed. Work location: 35 Main St., Hooksett, NH. Flex time available within same work week.
