The Town of Canaan has an opening for a Full Time Laborer and Groundskeeper with the Public Works Department. Duties include general maintenance of town buildings, parks, recreation areas and cemeteries. This position is responsible for general repair, snow removal, grave digging, mowing, trimming weeds, raking leaves, mulching, pruning, rubbish removal and sidewalk cleaning.
Candidates must be able to operate all equipment needed to perform upkeep of town grounds.
Compensation starting at $22.00-$25.00/hour and this position is 40 hours a week. Benefits include participation in NH Retirement System, health, dental and life insurance, and vacation, sick, holiday and personal paid time off.
