JOB POSTING: FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER
The Greenland Police Department is seeking a highly motivated, community-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Police Officer. We are a small, professional, and progressive agency dedicated to delivering exceptional public safety services to our residents, businesses, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws.
- Conduct patrol operations, respond to calls for service, and perform traffic enforcement.
- Investigate criminal activity, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports.
- Engage in community policing efforts to build strong relationships with the public.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency in all aspects of law enforcement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, medical exam, and physical fitness testing.
- New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council (NHPSTC) certification preferred; uncertified candidates will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement or military experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to community policing and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $29.97 – $35.89 per hour, depending on experience and certification.
