F/T Firefighter/EMS Position

The Greenland Fire Department, a combination department in the rapidly growing NH Seacoast region, is seeking candidates for an open Firefighter/EMS Provider position. Greenland is a 13 square mile town with a population of approximately 4,000 people, situated along the southern portion of Great Bay and neighbored by Newington, Portsmouth, Stratham, Rye and North Hampton. The Greenland Fire Department is responsible for providing fire, EMS and rescue services to a mixture of industrial, commercial, and residential properties as well as portions of Interstate 95, NH Route 33, and a CSX rail line. The department utilizes 2 engines, a 3,000-gallon tanker, 2 ambulances, and various support vehicles to provide these services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Firefighter 2 (Pro-Board or IFSAC w/NH Equivalency)
• Nationally registered EMT with ability to obtain NH EMS license
• Current CPAT certification or Lateral Transfer in accordance with NH Fire Standards and Training
Commission Administrative Rule PART Fire 703
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence
• Meet other minimum requirements of NH FSTC Admin. Rule PART Fire 701
• Successfully complete background check, driving record check and NFPA 1582 Physical.
