Finance Director
The Town of Wolfeboro seeks a full-time Finance Director. The Town of Wolfeboro, NH (approx. year-round pop. 8,000 and summertime pop. to 35,000) is a desirable community, known as “America’s Oldest Summer Resort”. We are located on the eastern shores of magnificent Lake Winnipesaukee. We strive to provide a high-quality, family-friendly life in a picture-book New England setting.
The minimum qualifications are bachelor’s degree in: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance Management or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience and a minimum of one (1) year supervisory responsibility, or any combination thereof that demonstrates the skills and ability needed for this position. Broad base of technical knowledge and skills desired includes developing and implementing financial policies, preparing financial statements and overseeing municipal audits, familiarity with Microsoft software and municipal accounting software, grant compliance and fund management, accounts payable and payroll. Excellent planning, organizational, administrative, personnel, and budget development and management skills. Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals/organizations inside and outside of town government, including elected officials, the public, and government regulatory agencies.
