POSITION:                Engineering Coordinator

SALARY:                   $91,249 to $118,747, depending on experience. 

 

DUTIES:                     

Under the general direction of the DPW Deputy Director, the Engineering Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Department’s Engineering Services, ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current standards and specifications. Essential functions include, but are not limited to, coordinating, scheduling and supervising work for Department Engineers and Engineering Technicians, providing training opportunities as necessary and conducting all employee evaluations within the Division. The Engineering Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing the design, administration, and inspection of Public Works projects to established standards, specifications, timelines and budgets, ensuring projects adhere to all NHDES and NHDOT requirements including, but not limited, to the Alteration of Terrain (AoT) permits, NH Fish & Game, Wetlands Bureau, and Traffic Bureau.

REQUIREMENTS:    

Candidates for this position must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge of civil engineering and construction management and three to five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the statutes, bylaws, regulations, codes, policies, and procedures relevant to the Department/Division.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred.
