The City of Portsmouth is seeking a dependable and skilled Custodian to help maintain our public buildings and surrounding grounds in a safe, clean, and fully functioning condition. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, comfortable, and welcoming for all occupants. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is responsive to building needs, and is committed to providing a clean, sanitary, and well-kept environment.
Pay rate: $22.32- $24.61 an hour per the 1386A Salary Schedule
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Saturday-Wednesday, 3pm-11pm
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An applicant for this position must have a high school diploma or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED) and at least one (1) year of work experience. Previous custodial experience is desirable.
