Code Enforcement Officer
n of Wolfeboro is looking for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer (Building Inspector) to join our team! The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for administering and enforcing the Town’s building code and zoning ordinance; reviewing permits; building, electrical, plumbing inspections; reviewing and interpreting plans; investigating complaints; coordination with contractors, property owners, engineers, architects, and municipal departments; answering inquiries by phone, e-mail or in person.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of building construction and trade practices, code enforcement principles, and municipal regulations.
- Experience interpreting plans, ordinances, statutes, and technical documents.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer software and electronic record-keeping systems.
- A valid driver's license.
Salary and Benefits:
The anticipated salary range is $70,000 to $82,000, depending on qualifications and experience, along with a competitive benefits package including:
