Building Inspector/ Code Enforcement Officer

Plaistow is seeking a personable and detail oriented professional to join our Town's Department of Building Safety. With a community of almost 8,000 residents, Plaistow is a blend of commercial and residential zones. Our Building Inspector would inspect both commercial and residential projects, review and sign off on Building Permit applications, and work closely with other departments on inspections and code enforcement actions. They are expected to have a working knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances, land use,  and other applicable regulations. Our office is open four days a week, and a step one salary of $38.47 an hour. The department has a dedicated Administrative Assistant.
