Board Administrator
The Town of Pittsfield (population 4,094 - operating budget of $4.9M) is seeking a Part-Time Board Administrator who has experience in government administration and is highly organized with effective communication and collaboration skills.
The Board Administrator is appointed by and reports to a five-member Board of Selectmen and is responsible for duties assigned by the Board, Town Meeting vote, or by law. The Board Administrator coordinates the office of the Board of Selectmen; maintains effective working relationships among all town departments, boards, and committees; and facilitates the flow of information between the town’s government operations and members of the community.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills. A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent municipal experience is a prerequisite. The part-time position is anticipated to be 25 hours a week. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
