NATURE OF WORK
Position performs responsible technical process control and supervisory work in the daily maintenance of the City’s water and/or wastewater infrastructure. Provides for the proper functioning of the facilities. Acts as Chief Plant Operator in the absence of Chief.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A candidate for this position must have graduated from high school, or equivalent (GED). An Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred. Five (5) years of experience in the operations and maintenance of a water and/or wastewater treatment facility or related field. Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity. Qualifying education experience may count for some of this experience.
Hold a current New Hampshire Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Grade III license (or the equivalent from another state). Obtaining additional certification or licensing may be required.
