2026 Sewer Manhole Rebuild

RE: 2026 Manhole rebuild Proposals (Raise and Reset 10 SMH frames and covers, multiple locations)

The Town of Gilford, NH, is accepting proposals from qualified contractors for the rebuild of 10 sewer manhole structures at various locations within the Town. 

Scope of Work: 

1. Saw-cut pavement around existing manhole frame (30-inch frame/covers).
2. Remove existing frame/cover, remove old brick as needed, reset frame, wet brick/mortar to finish grade.
3. Back fill and finish pave (compact unsettled material, depth of new asphalt minimum 2-3 inches neatly finished)
4. Clean-up of all work areas.  Removal of any debris from the bottom of the structure is required.
5. Proof of liability insurance, and W-9.
6. Traffic control (as needed)
7. Provide advanced if any structure will exceed the proposed cost to avoid billing surprises
8. Work to be completed by October 1, 2026
9. Priced per structure

The Town will provide locations, mapping, and new frames/covers if needed. The town will also handle removal and disposal of old frames/covers

Proposals must be submitted to Kevin Carlisle, Gilford Sewer Division, at the address below, no later than May 30, 2026.
