The Town of Wilton seeks paving, reclamation, and fine grade services for Burns Hill Road, Davisville Road, Goldsmith Road, and Tremont Street in the year 2026.
All Bids shall be received in a sealed envelope clearly identified with the Bidder’s name and marked on the outside “Town of Wilton Bid # 02-26 Multi Road Overlay and Reconstruction - 2026”; and be received at the Town Administrator’s Office within the Wilton Town Offices, 40 Main Street, Wilton, New Hampshire on or before 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 07, 2026.
Shortly thereafter, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any Bid received shall be irrevocable for a period of thirty (30) calendar days. Following a review of the Bids by the Wilton Highway Department, a recommendation will be made to the Board of Selectmen as to the award of contract at their next available meeting.
In general, the Scope of Work to be performed under this Contract includes:
- Reclamation, fine grade, and paving with 2” winter binder, Goldsmith Road and Tremont Street.
- Sweep, tack coat and 1 ½” overlay with ½” top, Burns Hill Road and Davisville Road
Technical or administrative questions should be directed to this RFP’s main contacts listed on the cover page; administrative questions will be handled by the Town Administrator while technical questions will be referred to the Wilton Highway Department’s Public Works Director. Highly specific e-mailed or typed questions are strongly preferred, and should reference the section the respondent wants clarified. Responses that are deemed reasonably able to affect competitiveness for this BID PROPOSAL will be released as addenda.
As part of the bidding selection process, the Town of Wilton may require (from the top three selections) a summary of work obligations and equipment resources to assure substantial completion and completion of work dates can realistically be met. Tremont Street is adjacent to the Wilton Elementary School and reconstruction is time sensitive to school traffic. Public Works crews will prioritize drainage work immediately after school closes. The Wilton Director of Public Works will communicate directly and frequently with the successful bidder to insure this road is reclaimed and paved before Fall 2026 school opening.
Substantial Completion of all roads listed above shall be September 15, 2026; and Final Completion of all Contract Work shall be achieved not later than October 15, 2026.As specified in the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications for this project:
A complete set of the Contract Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; the Town of Wilton assumes no responsibility for errors or misinterpretation from the use of the Contract Documents.
The Town of Wilton, in making copies of the Contract Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work. Copies of the Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations on or after March 24, 2026.
