The legislature made significant revisions to election laws in 2017. Come learn how to implement these new requirements before your next election.

Join Patty Little, City Clerk, City of Keene and NHMA Legal Services Counsel Stephen Buckley who will explore and discuss important election law changes affecting all New Hampshire municipalities. Senate Bill 3 has introduced significant voter registration changes that must be implemented by local election officials. A bifurcated voter registration process must be used by election officials with different forms and procedures for registration more than 30 days before an election as opposed to voter registration less than 30 days before an election or on election day. Amendments to the definition of domicile for voting purposes, along with a new provision requiring verifiable acts to establish domicile and how mere presence for temporary purposes does not establish domicile will also be discussed.
