In partnership with NLC’s Race, Equity, and Leadership (REAL) Department, Region One (New England states) provide this opportunity to learn more about normalizing, organizing, and operationalizing racial equity within your cities, towns, and villages. Collectively, Region One will offer two, 90-minute webinars. These sessions will then be followed by individual town halls led by REAL, to allow each State League the opportunity to connect, support discussion and learning, questions, and thoughts from the previous webinars.
REAL 200/300 Webinar: Organizing and Operationalizing Racial Equity in Local Government
This webinar focuses on providing an introduction on how to organize and operationalize for racial equity. It reviews the topical issues identified in the REAL 100 webinar. Attendees will learn racial equity tools and concepts that can be applied to determine an approach for advancing racial equity in their city – including learning the basic principles of how to develop a racial equity plan.
