Equipment Operator I

Performs a variety of duties in the maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, storm drainage and sanitary sewer line; must be available for winter storm maintenance and operations; operates a variety of vehicles, specialized equipment and hand and power tools.  HS diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year exp. in the operation of heavy automotive equipment or equivalent combination of training and experience.  Ability to operate loaders, trucks and other automotive equipment under all weather conditions is required. Good physical condition is required to perform heavy physical labor.  Valid drivers license required. Valid CDL required or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.  Starting pay rate $19.69.  Excellent benefits package.
