This training examines the fundamentals of enforcing floodplain management regulations and tips for preventing and resolving violations.
Topics include:
- Minimum requirements of an NFIP participating community
- Common violations
- Tools to bring violations into compliance
- Enforcement process recommendations
This training is of interest to officials of National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) participating communities.
Development of this training is a collaboration between the New Hampshire Floodplain Management Program within the Office of Planning and Development and the New Hampshire Municipal Association. Presenters include Katie Paight, New Hampshire Floodplain Management Program coordinator, and Stephen Buckley, Legal Services Counsel with the New Hampshire Municipal Association.
