Truck Driver/Laborer

The Milford Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Truck Driver / Laborer (Grade 13) within our Public Works Department.  This position is full time (40/hrs./wk.) reporting directly to the General Foreman or Highway Manager.

A strong candidate must have the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner, along with the demonstration of solid moral characteristics of being a conscientious, honest, energetic and dependable employee while maintaining a safe workplace.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: the operation of construction equipment, snow and ice removal, landscaping/construction, vehicle/ground/building maintenance, paving, storm water/drainage and other duties as assigned.  Candidate must be able to understand and follow oral and written directives.

A successful applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possession of a NH Class B CDL is REQUIRED Class A CDL is preferred.  High School diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the area of winter / summer municipal road maintenance; OR any combination of  education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill and abilities.

Pay commensurate with experience.
