Truck Driver/Laborer
RIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including but not limited to:
Performs general laboring duties and skilled tasks. Including construction, repair, cleaning, maintenance of streets, cemeteries, and other facilities. Constructs, builds and repairs catch basins, installs culvert pipes, digs ditches, performs traffic control, executes safe work procedures, excavates grave sites, and performs interments, checks operation of vehicles and performs minor maintenance as required, performs heavy laboring duties, performs tree maintenance and removal, performs other related duties as assigned by a supervisor. The Truck Driver/Laborer operates all types of trucks, and may operate tractors, rollers, and mowers, as well as perform a variety of manual tasks in connection with such operations. Physical requirements include the ability to shovel, lift, bend, walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time and carry objects weighing one hundred (100) pounds or more, as well as have the ability to work with a variety of cleaning, snow removal, lawn care and construction/maintenance related equipment.
Required to work under adverse conditions in all types of weather.
Operates snowplows, sanding equipment, and performs snow removal duties. On Call requirements and other related duties as assigned. Applicants should be motivated and able to work both by themselves and in a team setting. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Overtime required depending on department needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or certified equivalent
Minimum 1+ years of relevant experience
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
CDL-B with air brake endorsement license preferred or able to obtain in one year.
Employment is dependent on the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, background check and DMV records report.
Have or obtain DOT physical card.
Able to obtain New Hampshire Solid Waste Operator Certificate.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
