Pool Lifeguards

Do you enjoy being outside and working with children?  If so, Keene Parks and Recreation Department is looking for Certified Lifeguards this summer!  You can have a fun job that allows you to earn a paycheck, build your resume and work experience, and make a difference for the children and families in your community! 

To qualify, you must hold a current certification for Lifeguarding, or be willing to get certified before the pools open for the summer!  We will even help pay for your training!

Duties include: supervising the pool, preventing accidents, ensuring the safety of all pool attendees, assisting in planning/implementing swim lesson programs, and helping to maintain cleanliness of the pool facilities, supplies and equipment!

Pay rates will range from $14- $15 per hour, depending on years of experience and duties assigned.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 1pm-7pm and Saturday and Sunday, 12pm-6pm, with additional hours scheduled for swim lessons Monday-Thursday, 9am-11:30am.  Hours may exceed 40 hours per week, and could change based on rentals and lessons!  All applicants must be at least 15 years old and applicants age 18 and older are required to pass a Criminal Background Check.  Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment, have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with children!
