Police Officer

The Town of Brentwood is accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer.  Brentwood is described as a beautiful, rural community located twenty minutes from the NH Seacoast and is located in Rockingham County. The community continues to be very supportive of public safety and the infrastructure and safety relies on the municipal government.  The population is estimated to be 4,800 with 1400+ households and continues to draw a diverse group of residents who consistently demonstrate a willingness to help their fellow neighbor. 

The ideal candidate must be 21 years of age, be detail-oriented, professional, willing to learn, and be able to manage multiple tasks. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a valid driver’s license.  In addition to an excellent benefits package, state retirement, we also offer education incentives for college education.    

Current NH Certified and out of state certified candidates are highly encouraged to apply! 

Applicants are subject to a physical agility test, oral interview, background investigation, and psychological evaluation and polygraph examination.  Salary is very competitive $25.00-$33.00 per hour depending on prior experience/qualifications.
