Planner I - Lead Grant Program
Performs professional planning duties in support of the Planning & Community Development Departments initiatives, with primary responsibilities tied to the Lead Grant program; serves as Project Liaison to the general public inquiring about program enrollment and requirements; works closely with the Financial Analyst and Program Manager; assists in the bid process and in monitoring/maintaining project accounts and funds; catalogues and maintains Lead Program information to HUD standards; and performs other related duties as required.
This grant is for 42 months and the position is for the duration of the grant.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration or related; and some related experience or two years of additional work experience in municipal planning operations plus a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the Master’s Degree. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and time-management skills. Knowledge of HUD-CDBG programs preferred.
