Laborer/Truck Driver

The Laconia Water Department has an immediate opening for a Laborer/Truck Driver.  The Laborer/Truck Driver performs various tasks including relaying water mains, inspections of meters and water services, equipment maintenance and other tasks as assigned. This is a permanent full-time position with benefits.

The successful candidate will be:

• Physically fit and able to perform manual work relaying water mains and changing water meters, etc.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual work relaying water mains and changing water meters, etc.

• Mechanically inclined and able to perform maintenance on general equipment

• In possession of a valid NH grade B COL License or able to obtain one within one year. Laconia Water will pay for the training and CDL license, provided the employee retains employment at Laconia Water for three years.

• In possession of a State of NH Grade I Distribution License or able to obtain one within one year.

• Live within a JO-minute commute to Laconia Water Department

• On call for service calls and emergencies

• Laconia Water will provide training and courses to employee to obtain all licensing and on-the-job knowledge.

The salary range is $20.81 - $26. l 0 per hour. There is a full benefit package including, health insurance, personal, vacation, and sick time, and enrollment in the NH Retirement System.
