Human Resources Assistant
Requirements: The Town of Exeter is currently seeking a part time Human Resources Assistant. Position is part time at 29 hours per week with some benefits. This position is responsible for multiple administrative functions specific to the Human Resources department. Will assist with the recruiting processes, annual open enrollment, help coordinate Town service awards programs, maintain and update Human Resources Town website and serve as the point person for employee questions regarding Town benefit programs. As the HR Assistant you will be responsible for maintaining all paper files including personnel files. Successful applicant will be detail oriented, flexible, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to strictly maintain confidential information and exercise discretion in delicate situations.
Qualification: Required education level of an associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field. A combination of some higher education beyond high school plus a human resources certification will be considered. Three to four years in a professional office setting preferred. One to two years in Human Resources setting preferred.
Knowledge of human resources practices, payroll and benefits administration preferred. Knowledge of MS Office including word and excel required.
