Firefighter / AEMT or Paramedic

The North Hampton Fire & Rescue is accepting resumes to fill an immediate opening for a Firefighter/AEMT or Paramedic position. This position is responsible for providing fire prevention, suppression, and Emergency Medical Services to the Town of North Hampton. Applicants should be a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic or Advanced EMT enrolled in a paramedic program. Consideration is also given to AEMT’s wanting to pursue their paramedic certification.  Applicants must meet the requirements of Part Fir701 of the State Fire Code (Firefighter Entrance Requirements) with valid CPAT Certificate, Pro-Board Firefighter II Certification, and/or listing on the State of NH Firefighter Hiring /Eligibility List.  Successful candidates must obtain a NH CDL-B driver’s license with Air Brakes and meet the 50-mile residency requirement within the first year of employment. 

Lateral transfers from New Hampshire fire departments are encouraged to apply and must meet NH Part Fir 703 (Transfers). 

This position is a union position and is scheduled for 42-hours per week consisting of a 1/1/1/5 schedule.   A generous benefit package is offered to include paid leave, medical/life/disability insurance, NH Retirement System, and uniform allowance.
