Computer Systems Specialist I (Temp) - Aviation

Part-Time/Temporary position offering hands-on I.T. experience and a chance to learn about the various aspects of I.T. functions at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The chosen candidate will work with a variety of different roles of the MHT team to acquire a broad knowledge of airport information technology. 

An excellent opportunity for current I.T. students or recent graduates to gain experience in area such as Service Desk technical support, desktop systems, cloud SAAS application and server administration, networking, and cyber security technologies. This assignment will last approximately 12 weeks.

Grade 15

General Statement of Duties

Performs computer hardware and software installation, first level troubleshooting and resolution; performs directly related work as required.

Examples of Essential Work

• Provides on-site maintenance and trouble-shooting for computer hardware, software, and network connections;
• Responds to trouble calls from users;
• Diagnoses the cause of computer operation problems;
• Performs software installation and setup procedures;
• Performs component diagnosis and replacement;
• Instructs assigned users in use of computer software;
• Performs system update procedures and program installation , as directed;
• Performs project assignments, as required, including maintaining equipment records;
• Delivers and installs computer hardware;
• Performs installation, maintenance and repair of printers; and more.

Acceptable Experience and Training

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in computer science or a related field; and
• One year of experience in computer system support; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Required Special Qualifications

• Valid New Hampshire Driver's License.
