The City of Rochester Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Communications Specialist/Dispatcher. Specialists receive all emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance from the public; operates multi-frequency radio consoles, retrieves data from multiple sources; handles City Police/Fire and EMS information in various communications media.
Candidate should be a HS graduate or equivalent with excellent customer service skills. Must have the ability to perform all job functions under emergency conditions; capable of operating various computer equipment and electronic business equipment, ability to respond to emergency call-back in a timely manner.
Starting pay $19.00 based on experience with competitive benefits. Pre-employment testing to include criminal background, medical & drug screen.
