The Town of Plaistow, NH is seeking applicants for immediate openings for full-time Police Officer.  Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a college degree or equivalent experience in the law enforcement field, must possess a valid driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and excellent communication and writing skills. The Department is seeking individuals with ability to maintain professionalism while providing quality community safety services assuring equal treatment for all. Must be able to meet current requirements set forth by the New Hampshire Police Standards & Training Council, which can be viewed at http://www.pstc.nh.gov/faqs.htm#coopers.   

All Candidates are required to complete a professional interview, medical and psychological examinations, and must pass an extensive background investigation.  Non-certified candidates will also be required to complete a physical agility test.

Starting hourly rate for certified officers is $22.54 and for non-certified officers is $21.88.  Generous benefit package, including participation in the New Hampshire Retirement System.
