This session is for new planning board members, as well as veterans, who want a refresher course on how recent laws affect planning board actions and decisions. This session will review statutory duties of the planning board, including subdivision and site plan approvals, Innovative Land Use Controls, and Off-site Exactions. Also included is a review of types of planning board application reviews, timeline for applications, recent statutory changes related to HB1661 enacted in 2022, and the Housing Appeals Board, along with an update on recent decisions by the NH Supreme Court involving land use.

NHMA Members/Associate Members/State Agencies you must be logged in to receive complimentary registration. If you register but cannot attend, a recording of the webinar will be provided. Non-Members who register but cannot attend will receive a copy of the recording as long as payment has been received. Registration is available until 5:00 pm on July 14, 2025. Registrations after this time cannot be guaranteed. You will receive email confirmation from registrations@nhmunicipal.org providing you with webinar access information. You cannot cancel if you have signed up to attend a webinar.
